Officially, our girls have to leave Sishugram when they attain the age of 18 years. Efforts are made to get the girls enrolled in higher educational institutions or to find them some means of earning their livelihood by the time they leave. Over the years as many girls have left Sishugram and gone on to live their lives but they still consider Sishugram as their home and return to it from time to time especially during festivals and holidays. For many of our girls, both past and present, Sishugram is the only home they have.
