Besides studies, we also try to equip then for a life after they leave us by getting them trained in one or the other livelihood skill, such as tailoring, embroidery, baking and cooking, gardening, food preservation, etc. depending on their interests and talents. They also attend training programmes in physio-therapy, and nursing care that are offered at IIT Guwahati from time to time. Besides, there are plans of setting up a food processing centre, a fishery and a horticultural garden at Sishugram soon.
